COSL TEAM PHOTOS

ALL TEAMS ARE EXPECTED TO SHOW UP FOR THEIR SCHEDULED TEAM PHOTO TIME EVEN IF YOU DON'T PLAN TO PURCHASE ANYTHING.  THE LEAGUE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A PHOTO OF EACH TEAM AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE WANT TO BE COURTEOUS TO OUR AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER WHO, ALONG WITH HER PAID STAFF, SPENDS THE ENTIRE DAY OUT THERE AWAITING EACH TEAM'S ARRIVAL.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!

Team and Individual Pictures will be taken on April 26, 27 and May 3.  Check your team's calendar for your specific day/time.

You can create your PhotoDay Account to get alerts on when the photos are ready as well as pre-order packages if you'd like to.

UPDATE April 9, 2025

PICTURE DAYS- 4/26, 4/27 and 5/3

All coaches have been contacted by the wonderful Shelley Scarborough Photography with the full schedule of every team's picture day and time. I will be hustling to add each individual team's assigned day/time to their team page (if not yet done by the coach) but it will take me a minute to get that done. Thanks for your patience.

Game Length Update for 3rd Grade (7v7)

Starting this week, all 3rd grade games will now be played in two 25-minute halves. This is a change from the previous 20-minute halves and applies to all 7v7 games moving forward. Please adjust your planning accordingly.

Pine Nursery Parking Update

Bend Parks and Rec will be closing the grass field parking lots at Pine Nursery. If you have a game at the Bend FC complex, please use the northern lot near the turf fields and Yeoman Road.

UPDATE March 26, 2025

We are just a little over a week away from the start of the 2025 Spring League. 

I want to start off by first saying a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteer coaches whom we cannot run the program without. Before the season even starts, coaches are dedicating their time by completing required training, gathering gear and working with us to find the best practice options available. Please join us in frequently thanking your coaches. 

If you haven't yet heard from your coach, let me know so I can be sure no wires were crossed anywhere. You should email me at cosl@bendfc.com for this.

Almost all of your COSL questions can be found on the COSL website. Please check one of the links on the site before emailing our staff so we can stay on top of responding to any questions that cannot be answered that way. We appreciate your help with this. 

All practice and game schedules have been published on your player's PlayMetrics profile since early March. You can see those schedules by clicking on the current season's team under "My Teams" then clicking on "Calendar". 

If you think you might be missing some of the messages from the league and/or your team staff, you can go to "Account" then "Settings" in your PlayMetrics profile to make any necessary adjustments to your communication preferences. Past emails are summarized on the COSL UPDATES page of the COSL website. 

NEW THIS YEAR...

• Every player will get their own soccer ball to keep. Your coach will decide if those go home right away or not until the end of the season. 
• White Cards- Throughout the season, referees and Bend FC staff will be on the lookout for players who exhibit outstanding sportsmanship or kindness. Players who receive a white card will be highlighted on the COSL website and celebrated for their positive impact. 

I look forward to seeing old faces and meeting new ones on the field very soon.

UPDATE JANUARY 31, 2025

Today (Jan. 31) is our posted deadline for ordering your 2025 COSL Uniforms. If you have not done that yet, we advise that you do so at your earliest convenience to ensure a timely home delivery before the start of the season.

That said, if you need to wait a little longer, that should be just fine. To play it safe, we set the deadline much earlier than we could have for the estimation we received of up to 5 weeks delivery time. I don't recommend cutting it close by waiting weeks longer, but you should not feel stressed about it either.

If you are having any trouble ordering your uniform, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am happy to assist.

I am also attaching some screenshots on the UNIFORMS link that show how the process should look from either a computer or mobile device. It is important that you use our custom link for the 2025 COSL Uniform Store.

UPDATE JANUARY 23, 2025

Here are some reminders...

• This is Year 1 of a two-year uniform cycle. EVERYONE should be ordering a uniform this year. Information on purchasing your mandatory kit, including the link to the 2025 COSL UNIFORM STORE, can be found on the the Uniforms link on the COSL page. If you are going to the provided link for our specific uniform store, there should be no reason for you to create an account. It is a quick process to add your sizes, go to the cart ("cart" is text at the top of your screen) and checkout.

• We have a deadline of January 31 set for uniform ordering. Capelli is estimating 5 weeks processing/ship time so this should be a safe deadline to allow for any delays in that estimate.

• PLEASE MAKE SURE TO USE THE CORRECT JERSEY NUMBER!!!!!!! Use the number that is on your current season's team roster. If there was previously a number showing on your player's profile, that was from a previous season.

• We still have 28 teams without any coach at all and 48 teams with an assistant coach but no head coach. Please check your player's team roster on their PlayMetrics profile to see if they might be one in need of a coach. If you are interested in volunteering for this fun job, email Stef at cosl@bendfc.com. You can check out the COACHES CORNER for more information.

• PRACTICES AND GAMES: We will NOT know practice start dates until March. We get our field assignments from Bend- La Pine Schools and Bend Parks and Rec in the first week of March and then we hustle to get the practice schedules made as quickly as possible. Both practice and game schedules are set to be published by March 15. These dates and more can be found on the Key Dates link.

• If you think you have missed any emails from us, you can check out the COSL UPDATES link where summaries of all sent emails will be posted.

• It is a great idea to familiarize yourself with our COSL page and the other helpful links that can be found there, including F.A.Q.'s, COSL Rules and more. Tons of answers to questions you didn't even know you had can be found on these links.

• We receive a staggering amount of emails, many of which can be answered on the COSL page. In order for us to keep up with responding to everyone in a timely manner, we truly appreciate you taking a look at the COSL page before emailing. If you cannot find what you need on the COSL page, we are happy to assist you via email at cosl@bendfc.com.

• Once the COSL season begins, a google voice number will be published for emergencies only. Tip: Bend FC has a message line that forwards all COSL inquiries to the cosl email, cosl@bendfc.com. So, going straight to email will be more efficient for you ;)

• If you need to make any changes to your account settings, including updating personal info or customizing how you receive communications from us, you can do this by logging into PlayMetrics, clicking on Account and then Settings.

UPDATE JANUARY 13, 2025

Thank you all for your patience as we worked through a glitch with the uniform store. Capelli has taken care of the issue and the uniform store is back up and running. As long as you order by the deadline of 1/31, there should be no problem with you getting your uniform on time still.

Things to know...

• If you were able to order your uniform, then you don't need to worry about anything. When the store was broken, you would not have been able to complete the order at all.
• Your assigned jersey number is what shows on your team roster. If a number appears in your player profile, that is something you had input on their profile yourself. You are able to change that number as they change seasons, teams, etc.. Please make sure that you are finding their assigned number on the team roster.
• You may not be able to view the My Teams tab on your mobile device. If that is the case, you can view the roster on a computer instead. If you need any assistance locating your player's assigned jersey number, please don't hesitate to email me at cosl@bendfc.com and I can get that for you.

Thanks again for hanging tight while the uniform store was fixed and for the great feedback we've been receiving from so many of you. We truly appreciate it!

UPDATE JANUARY 2, 2025

Registration is now closed.  There are limited spots still available in each division.  If you would like to register for any spot available, please register on the wait list and if there is a spot open in your division, you will be invited to join a team.  If you are willing to be placed on any team available, note "any" in the school request.  If you only want to be on the wait list for a specific school or with a specific coach, please note that one the school request and/or coach request.

Rosters are being finalized and will be released by January 5.  You will receive a notification that your player has been added to a roster.  You can view the roster by logging in to the player's PlayMetrics profile > MY TEAMS > Roster.  Jersey numbers will be visible on the roster about 10 minutes after you receive the notification that you have been assigned to a roster.

Once you have viewed your player's jersey number, you may order their uniform.  Please see the UNIFORMS page for more information on ordering.

• WE STILL HAVE TEAMS WITHOUT A COACH. If you see that your team does not have a coach, please consider taking on a head coach or assistant coach position.
• You do not need to have experience to be a volunteer coach. An optional coach training will be offered by our Bend FC Staff before the start of the season.

UPDATE DECEMBER 1, 2024

2nd Round of Registration will be open from December 1, 2024 to January 1, 2024 where you will be able to register for packages as following:

• specific schools with available spots
• school combos with available spots
• general pool- any team available

Round 2 of registration will display ONLY teams that have availability at the start of round 2. Teams (schools) that are already full before the start of round 2 will not be displayed in round 2 registration packages.

If enough players from a single school register in the general pool- any team available, I will create a new team for them to be together.

No players will be turned away during 2nd round of registration; however, you may need to register in the general pool- any team available package to secure a spot.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 24, 2024

Central Oregon Soccer League (COSL) will reopen registration, "Round 2" on December 1, 2024 where you will be able to register for packages as following:

• specific schools with available spots
• school combos with available spots
• general pool- any team available

Round 2 of registration will display ONLY teams that have availability at the start of round 2. Teams (schools) that are already full before the start of round 2 will not be displayed in round 2 registration packages.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 7, 2024

First Round of Registration Closed. 

SECOND ROUND OF REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN FROM DECEMBER 1 TO JANUARY 1.

We will have a second round of registration open from December 1 to January 1 to fill available spots in the COSL league and potentially create more full teams. We won't be able to guarantee a spot on your roster of choice but no one will be turned away from registering.

Volunteer Coaches will start receiving information on requirements to get cleared as a coach (background check, SafeSport training- 90 minutes online, Concussion training- 30 minutes online) in January.

UPDATE OCTOBER 3, 2024

Volunteer coaches can sign up during their player's registration process. If you already registered but missed signing up, please contact Stef Emerson at COSL@bendfc.com. 

Information for volunteer coaches including clearance requirements, practice schedule preferences and more will start being sent out in December.

POLICY AND NOTICE- WEATHER

Bend FC admin and COSL staff will announce league wide related weather or emergency cancelation between 1:30pm and 2:pm on Monday through Friday in regards to practices.

PlayMetrics  is our operating system where you registered for COSL (and created an account). This is also where you will find your team roster, team calendar and other team communication. Access it using the member login at bendfc.com or by using this link. Did you know that PlayMetrics has a great app? We recommend downloading it.
