Phase II Field Project

"LET'S MAKE IT FOUR!"

BEND FC PHASE II SOCCER COMPLEX CAMPAIGN

DONATE NOW!

In 2012 Bend FC and Bend Park and Recreation District entered into a long-term agreement to develop four soccer/multi-purpose fields at Pine Nursery Park. Bend FC successfully completed Phase 1, which included two artificial turf fields and lighting, in July 2020.

We are thrilled to announced Phase II will include construction of two more synthetic turf fields and related improvements. Currently, more than 3,000 Central Oregon boys, girls and adults participate in competitive and recreational soccer programs through Bend FC. To better serve our growing community, the campaign is an investment in our economy and will allow more children and adults to be active in healthy, outdoor team sports.

If you have any questions or would like to donate, contact Wayne Price, Bend FC Executive Director, at wayne@bendfc.com.

The Build It Forward Campaign is a 10-year project to transform eight acres of Bend Park & Recreation’s Pine Nursery Community Park into a world-class, all-season, athletic facility.

Phase I is complete, and features two state-of-the art synthetic turf fields that cater to small-sided and full-sided play, with flood lighting and all goal and field equipment.

In February 2022 and 2023, the Portland Thorns professional women's team, who play in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), spent five days in Bend to conduct their pre-season camp at our facilities.

Phase II and III will include construction of two more synthetic turf fields. Currently, approximately 2,000 Central Oregon boys and girls participate in competitive and recreational soccer programs through Bend FC. However, despite the completion of first two fields, there remains a lack of playing fields in Bend. During major stretches of the year, there is virtually no usable space due to weather and a lack of light. As a result, a group of dedicated volunteers formed the Build It Forward Capital Campaign, a strategic partnership between Bend FC Timbers and Bend Park and Recreation. To better serve our growing community, the campaign is an investment in our economy and will allow more children and adults to be active in healthy, outdoor team sports.
