2024-25 TEAM FORMATION INFORMATION

The player placement process for Bend FC will involve a series of steps designed to ensure a smooth transition for both current and prospective players. We understand that traditional tryouts can be an anxious time for players & parents. Doing this over several weeks allows for our coaching staff as well as the Director of Coaching to have conversations with families that need them. Players will receive an evaluation from the past soccer year and the transition into the next soccer year will be far smoother.

PLAYERS NEW TO BEND FC (Birth Years 2014-2006)

1. ID Sessions: Players who are new to Bend FC and are planning on, and have registered for, the OYSA State Mandated Tryout period may also attend age group ID sessions that the club is holding the week of April 22 and April 29. These sessions are not mandatory but are highly recommended as they are a great opportunity for players to experience what Bend FC is like before May 6th and for the coaching staff to get a head start on evaluating players. 
2. Register and RSVP: Register for tryouts to receive details and to RSVP for ID sessions. (There is no charge to register for ID sessions or tryouts)
3. Attend Tryouts: All players new to Bend FC must attend OYSA State Mandated Tryouts: May 6 -10, 2024.  Tryout schedules and details will be on our website www.bendfc.com no later than mid-April.

CURRENT BEND FC PLAYERS (Birth Years 2014-2006)

1. Register for the Academy Team Selection Process: Current players are asked to register for the 2024-25 Academy Team Selection Process (previously known as “tryouts”) on receipt of this message, which will indicate their interest in the upcoming soccer year. Only players who register before April 16th will be eligible to receive a Recommit Invitation (see below).                                                    **There is no charge for registering for our Team Selection Process
2. Players Receive Annual Evaluations: All current Bend FC Academy players will receive their annual coach evaluation in PlayMetrics no later than April 15th.
3. Recommit Invitations: Returning players who registered for the 2024-25 Academy Team Selection Process will be eligible to be offered a spot on a Bend FC team roster before OYSA State Mandated Tryouts. Roster spots will be determined by the Bend FC Coaching staff and Director of Coaching through our year-long evaluation process. Recommit Invitations will be sent out to players via PlayMetrics between April 16 and April 25th.
   The deadline to accept your Recommit Invitation and pay your deposit is April 25th. By accepting this Recommit Invitation, players will secure 2023-24 player fees as well as a spot on a 2024-25 team roster. If you do not accept this offer by April 25th you are still eligible to be offered a roster spot the week of May 6-10 during the OYSA State Mandated Tryout & Registration period but a roster spot is no longer secured. 
4. OYSA State Mandated Tryouts: May 6 -10, 2024. All Bend FC players must attend tryouts, even if they have already accepted a Recommit Invitation and team roster spot. This is to help evaluate any new players to Bend FC. Tryout schedules and details will be on our website www.bendfc.com by mid-April.
